The Boy

Jack talks a mile a minute. Sometimes, if he doesn't need his diaper changed right away--"Change-a die-purr, dada, change-a die-purr" in the morning, we'll awaken to his sweet tones as he play-acts with his toys in the morning. His favorite thing is to crash some of his cars, then say, "Oh no, what a gonna do? What a gonna DOOOOOOO? Then he 'rescues' the crashed cars with other cars.
Jack's other new favorite things include, "You save a day, mama, you save a day!" and "It's a nice day, huh, its a nice day."
Jack still loves him some Cars, as in Pixar's little blessing to parental insanity. If I were to guess at how many times I've viewed that little gem........let's just say that I pretty much have that movie memorized. However, between peace offering type purchases during shopping trip and Christmas, we have most of the cars from Cars. So, now I have the honor of helping Jack re-enact many of the scenes from my favorite nightmare-uh, Jack's favorite movie.
"Hey, DJ, we got ourselves a nah-duuuur."
"Pretty muuuuuusic...."
"Hey, Wingo, lane change."
"Don't let Frank getcha."
'Who's Frank!?!"
Etcetera, etcetera.
Jack also has some not-so-cute new little moves. He can scream on command, say, if we tell him to it's time to leave the toy section at Tear-get. It's really, really charming. It's also cute when he tells us "Don't-touch-ANY-FING!"
But, all that notwithstanding, we still love our little stinker.

I once asked my husband why little boys played demo derby and he said, "If they didn't, who would?" Sounds like you have yourself a real boy.

Tiger likes to quote Cars too, but more often he quotes the sound effects. Then he and his cousin did it in the car together. That was fun. Cars is the best/worst thing to happen to children's entertainment.
