The guys.
This is the kids attempting to protect their ears during the fireworks.
Kids. So cute.
Jack! Quick-cover your ears! No, your EARS, not your hair!! Oh well......
Watching the ceremonial, patriotic lighting of the firework.
The beautiful people, meaning the wives and the kids.
More beautiful people. Ok, its the same ones, but another shot.
Hmmmmmm! Me zombie! Me hungry! Me eat your brains!
Just kidding! I not zombie, I husband!
Blurry and out of focus?
Of course!
Patriotic magic in action! I can feel my love for my country growing by leaps and bounds!
Waiting for the action.
So, it Utah, the 24th of July is a state holiday, celebrating the state's pioneer heritage. Or if you are a Native American, it is a commemeration of the take-over of the state by the white man. Anyway, July seems to be the month of holidaze in Utah. It starts off with the local "________ days" and then there's the 4th of July, which is big. And by days, I mean Strawberry days for Pleasant Grove, Steel Days for American fork, etc. It seems like every little town or city has their own summer festival/fair, and they all seem to happen around this time. It all seems to culminate on the 24th of July, celebrated as Pioneer Day, complete with a Days of '47 parade.
